What is Rokto Joddha?
Rokto Joddha is an online blood donation platform that stores information about voluntary blood donors from the 9 upazilas of Faridpur district. Through this platform, anyone can easily find eligible and willing blood donors based on blood group and location.
It is a completely humanitarian initiative, designed to encourage voluntary blood donation and provide quick, easy access to donors during emergencies.
Donors can register, create their profiles, and store information like blood group, area, last donation date, and total number of donations.
Contact numbers are available only for donors who are eligible (90 days or more since last donation).
Idea, Purposes and Development
The idea and development of this platform originated from a real-life experience. Rakibul Hasan Riaz, a young man from the Faridpur district, personally witnessed how people often struggle helplessly during emergencies in search of blood donors. To save their loved ones, some were desperately making phone calls, while others were posting on Facebook with little hope or reaching out to friends on Messenger to arrange blood, but many times there are considerable delays in finding a donor, and in some cases, no donor is available at all.
From this harsh reality, a compassionate thought was born —
“To build a digital platform where local blood donors would be registered, and any patient’s relative could easily find a suitable donor within moments.”
The core purposes behind creating this platform were:

To simplify the blood donation process through digital means by creating a humanitarian, free, and accessible online platform.

To establish a simple, fast, and secure communication system between blood donors and recipients.

To build a centralized platform that unites voluntary blood donors from all 9 upazilas of Faridpur district, creating a permanent, community-based donor network.

To easily search and find voluntary blood donors who are willing and physically eligible to donate blood, based on blood group and area, during emergencies.

To create an honorable platform for blood donors where they can store their information and keep a record of their humanitarian contributions.
With a vision for humanity, compassion, and community support, this platform was built to solve those problems. Rakibul didn’t walk this path alone; his friends and close well-wishers stood beside him with moral support and encouragement, helping him turn this humanitarian dream into a reality.
Features of the Platform

View information cards of eligible and active blood donors in a donor slider on the homepage and a detailed donor list page.

Easily search for voluntary blood donors by blood group and area using a filter-based search system, especially useful during emergencies.

Keep a clear record of how many times each donor has donated blood, making it easier to identify experienced and active donors.
✅ Profile Update:
Donors can update their personal details, profile picture, area, and other necessary information whenever needed from their personal profile dashboard.
Vision
Initially launched for the 9 upazilas of Faridpur district, the long-term plan is to gradually expand the service beyond Faridpur, covering a larger region to ensure people everywhere can access blood donors easily and quickly in times of need.
